i love to eat food. and i love to make it: sauteé, roast, grill, chop, mix, mash, and, of course, bake.
i’m not a professional. nor do i play on on tv. i’ve never taken a class (though i consider it every so often). however, i think i’ve gained a rather large skill set and a wide base of knowledge.
the goal of this place is to share. and that’s what i will continue to do for as long as i’m able. i may tell you your grandma’s recipe sucks, but i can assure you, it’s often in jest. if you want to use bisquick, use bisquick. pilsbury pre-made pie dough is okay too. we all have to start somewhere, and often these days we just don’t have the time. however, i will tell you it’s easy to make pie dough, and it tastes better than anything that little doughboy can make. not to mention you have the ingredients for it in your kitchen right now. really, you do.
i know some of my recipes aren’t incredibly detailed. however, if you have a question, please ask. i love comments and love questions even more.

This is a GREAT service and wonderful site!!!
Thank you for sharing, I am looking forward to trying out these recipes as I am learning to eat differently…without all the processed and refined garbage.
Samantha
thanks so much. if you have any questions let me know.
Hi There!
I wanted to let you know that our website, FoodieView (www.foodieview.com) recently launched a new feature, Foodie Views of the Day (www.foodieview.com/views/). The idea is to provide an alternative forum where foodies can share their culinary photography talents. The feature also allows your readers to vote on their favorite pictures.
We would really love showcase some of your photos on Foodie Views of the Day. Please let us know if you are comfortable with our use of the photos from Food Goes Here. Additionally, if you have photos to which you are particularly partial, or which you would especially like to show off, please feel free to send them to me or to submit them directly to the site by following this link: http://www.foodieview.com/views/submit_info.jsp
Thank you!
Michele
Like your introduction….if you decide to take a class, try out one of the hands on classes at Ramekins in Sonoma. I am taking the class with Patricia Wells. What a treat. Like your blog!
Jamie
a sonoma cooking class- i really missed out when i was up there.
thanks
Hi, Dorian. I didn’t know you have a food blog. Now I’ll know all your secrets
. Just kidding, you’re very gracious and I really enjoy all the treats you share with us. Thank you!
oh, i still have food secrets, they just don’t get posted here
oh dorian. this site is amazing. i love it. excellent cook indeed… except your cookies failed epically!
i’ve had cake, pie, bread, dinner, and sandwich fails. and even a fire or two.
but i’ve never had that bad of a cookie fail. and as cookies are my sub-specialty it makes it even more profound.
